Open letter  of  the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU) on EU plastic tax

On the ocassion of the introduction of the EU plastic tax in the beginning of the year, the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU) adressed an open letter to the Federal Minister for the Environment. With the letter, the authors support the Federal Government to take additional means to reduce plastic use as well as to promote recycling management. Facilitation of the use of  multi-cycle systems and recyclates as well as an additional tax on primary resources needed for plastic production are given as examples.
