Register now!

When it comes to technological solutions that are good for the planet, for the people and for the economy, G-STIC aims to bring the best ideas forward. G-STIC is a series of conferences that strive to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The focus lies on building knowledge bases and global expert networks to support the technological transitions that are needed for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

Building on the outcomes of last year's conference and aiming to create synergies within and between sectors, G-STIC 2018 will revolve around 3 main themes:

1. Further developing recommendations for policy actions that are critically important to upscale the use of integrated technological solutions that address several SDGs at the same time.

2. Introducing new integrated technological solutions that have the potential to impact the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in a significant way, while being socially acceptable and economically feasible at the same time.

3.Invites companies to showcase their engagement towards the implementation of the SDGs, either by demonstrating thought leadership, showing integrated solutions in action or exhibiting market-ready and globally scalable technologies.

The G-STIC Conference series will be hosted jointly by VITO (the prime research and technology organization on cleantech and sustainable development in Belgium) and its international partners ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies), AIT (Asian Institute of Technology), FIOCRUZ (Fundação Oswaldo Cruz), IITD (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute).
