TERENO - International Conference 2018

Registration open now!

Global changes have lead to numerous environmental changes, such as alterations in climate, land productivity, water resources, atmospheric chemistry, and ecological systems. Finding solutions to the impact of global change is one of the most important challenges of the 21st century.

TERENO is embarking on new paths with an interdisciplinary and long-term research programme involving six Helmholtz Association Centers and spans an Earth observation network across Germany that extends from the North German lowlands to the Bavarian Alps.

The 2nd international TERENO conference is intended to provide a platform for young scientists and international experts and highlights the main facets of TERENO research. The conference will offer a mix of oral and poster presentations and keynote lectures reflecting on current topics in Earth System Science. In addition, the conference is a place to meet and discuss with TERENO scientists and colleagues from around the world and offers excellent opportunity for formal and informal networking.

Among the most recent TERENO-supported national and international networking activities, which will be presented in Berlin in detail, are eLTER – the emerging European Integrated eLTER Europe Research Infrastructure, and the new German joint research facility MOSES – Modular Observation Solutions for Earth System.

Scientists from all disciplines of Earth and Environmental Sciences are cordially invited to attend the conference.
